Mangosoft Announces Alliance with MarketLink
Westborough, MA - August 7, 2000: Mangosoft Inc. (NASDAQ BB: MGOF), developers of innovative software that leverages PC desktop systems to improve Internet access, today announced a distribution agreement with MarketLink Technologies, LLC, a national outsource sales and marketing organization for the computer channel. Under the agreement, MarketLink will market and sell Mangosoft's Cachelink Pro Web caching software to value-added resellers (VARs), independent software vendors (ISVs), integrators, and other solution providers. Cachelink Pro is a software-based, LAN-wide Web cache product designed to significantly increase the speed and performance of Internet and intranet access for small to mid-sized businesses.
The alliance with MarketLink will serve as the cornerstone for the company's new solution providers program. Mangosoft's new sales channel will be ideally suited for small-to-mid-size businesses looking to maximize bandwidth by increasing their office Internet access speed.
In a separate announcement today, Mangosoft also introduced Cachelink Pro, the only computer desktop Web caching software available that increases Web access up to 40 times faster with a T1 line, up to 60 times faster with DSL and up to 160 times faster with a 56K modem. Cachelink Pro is specifically designed for small-to-mid-size businesses to maximize their bandwidth while increasing Internet access speed.
